I think they were from Hunter AAF. My in-laws live down that way and my father in-law said they did a 20+ ship flight around the area for their stand down ceremony.

Got to ferry an ex Riddle 172S a few days ago. Eastern PA to Chicagoland. I got spoiled by the G1000, the last glass I flew was for my PPL in a Cirrus. Racetrack is Chicago Speedway. I had a 35 knot direct headwind on the first leg giving me a miserly 85 knot groundspeed. Turned into a 5 knot tailwind on leg 2 for a respectable 125 knots across the ground.
