Concert tickets vs. Airline tickets

Trying to find some tickets to a concert, and can't because any of the F#&%!#G resalers. It is my fervent hope that there is a special place in hell reserved for them. But I digress

Anyway, I'm just annoyed by the social media posts of people who have tickets. They brag about spending two grand on a second row center ticket, and then complain about the $400 it cost them to buy an airline ticket to get them to the show. Really?

Rant over. Carry on.
 
There should never be a concert ticket worth that much or people willing to buy them.

So, ABBA is still that popular, huh? Interesting.
 
I have never been on the back of an airline that gave me the experience a good concert gives.

Some of the best memories I have, have been at shows. I don't think anyone riding coach can say that.
 
The Rolling Stones are playing in Los Angeles tonight for $5. I kid you not.

Man, I feel your pain on this one. The resale market is absolutely brutal, and it is wild how people will drop two grand on a concert ticket without blinking, but then turn around and complain about a $400 plane ticket to actually get there. Priorities, I guess? I have never understood that logic either. If you are already shelling out that much for a seat, the travel cost should just be part of the package. And yeah, the smaller shows are usually way better anyway. The big stadium spectacles are cool, but nothing beats a good club gig where you can actually see the sweat on the guitarist's forehead.

If you are still hunting for tickets without getting completely gouged, it might be worth checking out something like StarTickets. They are not a miracle worker, but I have seen people have better luck there with face value drops or early access before the scalpers sweep everything up. Either way, I hope you find a decent option. What show were you trying to see anyway? If it is something huge like the Stones or McCartney, you might just have to bite the bullet or find a friend with a connection. Good luck, man. The ticket game is exhausting these days.
