CFI job - West Michigan

I live in the Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo area and I obtained my initial CFI back in April 2015. Last week I went around to almost every local airport within a 50-60 mile radius and dropped off my resume. Also a cover letter with my resume at several locations where it was appropriate. It's been a week now and no calls, even from a large university flight program that more than 5 fellow pilots/CFI's told me to apply to. Still no phone calls after a week... Is it appropriate to follow up with a phone call? I don't have any dual given yet, is that a negative? I've been out of town for my day job pretty much since I got my CFI so I haven't been able to fly. Mainly, should I be concerned I haven't heard back yet? feel free to PM me.
