SKW finally helps hold the line (pay package results)

It would be holding the line if y'all were unionized. Just out of curiosity, what line are we talking about?

Management can do what they want with y'all now.
#Seggy you are absolutely right. But the first-ever rejection of a pay package (as far as I can tell) is a good start. We have a much more informed and mad pilot group than when we rejected alpa. That was before my time, but I don't know if alpa will spring for another drive.

Not the first ever rejection, but rare indeed. @Seggy is both right and wrong. As a pro-union guy it's a legit point, though having been around these parts for nearly 10 years this kind of turnout and a decent spilt on the no-vote is a bit of a referendum and pleasant change from the status quo.

They can do what they want, but it's a precious line to walk that I doubt they'll exercise.

Still, glad to see the no vote and looking forward to seeing what's next. Had to chuckle at TG's email, what a sad/insulting attempt to garner support.

I thought TG was condescending and insulting. He can keep his QOL improvements.

I quoted it in the other thread. My jaw dropped when I read the part where MY QOL improvements were going to come from increased staffing (from the higher first year pay I assume). That's it? That's what you're coming to the fight with?

can us bystanders see a copy of that email?

Here's the first paragraph. I would post the whole thing but I'm on my phone now. This is from the other thread.

This evening a vote to secure significant enhancements to compensation and quality of life for SkyWest pilots concluded. As you’re aware, the proposed package was not approved by the majority of the pilot group. Clearly, I’m disappointed by the outcome of the vote, specifically because you chose not to approve a package that served to address what you’ve shared as your priorities and key objectives, including quality of life improvements through increased staffing, profit sharing and retirement enhancements.

Of course you do. If it ain't ALPA, it's not worth anything in your book.
Thanks for proving my point.
