If had the choice..

If you have any questions about the 135 side of Ravn let me know, I should be headed out to Barrow tomorrow. Also starting pay on the 121 side is 50/hr.

PS. For the rest of you guys "haters gonna hate hate hate" :p

I'm pretty familiar with the costs involved just in running an mx department and most of the folks whining about $600 round trips would be floored if they found out what it costs just in parts and labor to keep, say, a 207 in decent shape when it's flying 1000 hours a year much less a machine as complex as a Saab.

If they want cheap, they can go back to run out caravans and 207s flown VFR by a company that puts one into a mountainside every few years.

We operate two jets and they are cheaper on maintenance then the Twin Otters we use in the Bush.

Like I said. ..don't go vfr to an airport calling ovc003 at night or 1/2 sm in blowing snow and you'll probably be fine

Yup. But with the new Ops Controls in place that kind of flight would never be dispatched. Also our new WX mins for svfr are 600 and 2, plus all svfr must be cleared with the CP or assistant CP. I'd wager Hageland is now one of the safest 135 carriers in the state since the FAA made them their new whipping boy.

I'd get up and straight leave the cockpit. I have no tolerance for how unsafe that makes things. Lets see if he can single pilot that thing.

It's a 1900 - I mean, realistically, the guy should be able to single pilot that thing (and some of the old-timers there are probably single pilot typed). It's easier to fly than a Navajo, in my opinion.

That's very good to hear. Tired of hearing about them having accidents. That'd actually be a great freaking job if the culture changed.

True, but I'm pretty sure 121 requires 2 pilots.
