This is not going to change, it is the nature of the beast you work in. But it never gets easy. I'm over here in Delaware training for the Air Force. My other half she is Army, back home in California, she lost a close friend today who is another uniformed member. I can't be with her tobecause I am across the country, I wish to comfort her and it makes me sad.

As a DOD brat growing up I truly feel the hardest part of that lifestyle is the time you guys spend away from family.
