Svenska Dagbladet opinion piece that seems to reference the NAI scheme without calling it directly out. https://translate.googleusercontent...200321&usg=ALkJrhjWoYjMrisBtwQWy3DSKD05M1kCLA

"This business model is threatening to wipe out the airlines that strives to conduct serious business with reasonable wages and conditions and paying taxes in the country where they operate. For those at risk operations to eventually become unaffordable. The reputable airlines have in recent years been forced to take drastic measures to keep costs down. The short-term benefit is that jobs will remain but it affects Union members through deteriorating conditions and tougher schedules with high sickness rates as a result."

Swedish airlines have really taken it in the shorts in the last 15 years or so. Some of the regional carriers have gone out of business and SAS (Scandinavian Airlines System Aktiebolag) has had to drastically cut costs.

Goes to show that NAI has further negative implications worldwide.

Edit: don't know how to fix my spelling mistake in the title.

Edit 2: found it!

Rogue... Rouge... same thing.

Air Canada has all but disappeared from Hawaii. Last year there were big baby blue 767s all over the place and now there are just a few. But lots of Red and White Maple Leaf tails.
It's beyond B-scales and onto "D-minus, see me after class" scales. I have a few friends that travel up here for business and absolutely loathe Rouge.

Swedish Airlines have lost money???? Some of the regional carriers have gone out of business??? Like, OMG!!! Sacrebleu!!!

What happened there may happen here due to airlines like Norwegian Air International. But like @Seggy says, we can keep our heads in the sand or we can do something about it. The point of this article being posted is to show real world consequences of airlines that skirt the true intent of Open Skies agreements.
