Landing at abandoned airfields in the middle of nowhere that have freshly spraypainted swastikas on the pavement.

It's vandalized pretty bad. At least four places with swastika graffiti, broken beer bottles and furniture on the runway. There was a nice resort years ago I hiked for about an hour around it not a single soul spotted.
Birchwood field in the Poconos. I might bring an axe and a broom next time.

That's where the US Marshalls finally captured Eric Frein. If one of the FBI's Ten Most Wanted can hide out there for a while, who knows what else is there.

Photoshopped how? It's edited, yes, but that was the sunset on Thursday, Jan 15. Everyone in the industry who knows my work knows exactly how little I Photoshop.

He was making a joke about Ameriflight planes always being dirty, not saying you faked a photo. The joke being more or less:

<joke>That plane was pretty clean, therefore it can't possibly be an Ameriflight plane, therefore it must be photoshopped. </joke>

Thanks for the clarification. It's late. As an artist, especially in this industry, the most harsh criticism an artist can face is that their work is somehow manipulated and/or manufactured. Might be a tad sensitive to that.

I haven't worked for AMF very long but the planes in Portland are in incredible condition.

If I had a nickel for every time...am I right?

Chillaaaaax. Freight doggy joke. Don't be offended, I'll be the first to admit I'd be screwed without Photoshop. I shoot with a $130 lens I've dropped nine dozen times and chipped so bad I can't keep a lense cap on it, I'm about that Photoshop life.

Wow, showing my age here but I've stayed there as a guest. You're a lot braver than I am, I wouldn't even land the 172 there back then! We landed at Mt Pocono and got a ride.

I don't shoot with a $130 lens. I have been doing this for 13 years and have worked diligently to establish my reputation in the aviation photography community as a reputable photographer. Different strokes, I suppose.
