Donald Trump, no stranger to noisy publicity, is complaining again about the roar of jets in a $100 million lawsuit over air traffic he says is purposely being directed to fly over his ritzy Palm Beach club.
Trump filed the suit against Palm Beach County last week, claiming his history of conflict with Palm Beach International Airport has led officials to spitefully redirect air traffic over his historic Mar-a-Lago estate in south Florida.
"I am saving one of the great houses of this country and one of its greatest landmarks," he said in an interview Monday, "and it's being badly damaged by the airplanes."
Rather than fanning air traffic in multiple directions, Trump says the county's airports director — who has been named in prior litigation filed by the real estate mogul — has successfully pressured the Federal Aviation Administration to have controllers direct almost all flights due east, directly above Mar-a-Lago, the lawsuit claims. It calls the actions "deliberate and malicious."

Be sure to take a look at the IAP/ SIDS/ STARS for PBI. His efforts to harass the airport haven't been ignored.

Someone needs to find his property on a map and compare its position to the fix locations. Perhaps DONLD is right over his place.

Edit: wait, Ivanka (his daughter) had a bunch of fixes? I thought she was pretty much just smoking hot already and would have not needed it. His ex-wife Ivana definitely had some surgeries.

Don't know, down with the flu. Serious NIquil buzz going on. Broke in to fits of laughter when I saw trump and fixes. Figured I'd share the laughs....sounded really good in my head at least.

Negative. UFIRD might be close, DONLD is too far NE as his property is directly east off the end of 10L.

The article fails to mention that he operates a 757 and a Sikorsky S76 out of PBI and that the 757 replaced a 727. If PBI is such is menace, he sure does contribute to the problem.

I'm curious what's changed since 2010.

If I had to guess it was that departure route posted above. Of course I have no idea how to look up when it went into effect, so I can't confirm, but having a departure right over your house with fixes named after you and your catch phrases sure present an image of maliciousness, even if it wasn't.

That being said:

Ive never understood the "buying the house at the airport and complaining about the noise" Now I might not be a bankrupt Millionaire or umm Billionaire or whatever his tag line is, but I do think I would figure out that planes are loud, and being near an airport would be there would be more planes and therefore my house might be louder than others.

Didn't he emphasize:

Location, location, location.

What a poop-heel. I don't always ask for departure procedures out of Palm Beach, but when I do... I ask for the IVNKA1.
