Student tracking tool

ERAU has been using a program just as you described since about 2002/2003. Once you graduate you no longer have access. Honestly, I used it mostly to check my logbook math as it also had flight records. It was great as an instructor to be able to evaluate students and see progress from start to finish. I think you are trying to fill a void that has already been filled be somebody else as I would imagine ERAU and Cessna are not the only ones with similar programs.

I would be inclined to agree with you but I can't find it. But at least you see the value of it. If you are part of a school or program there is lots of data to use on performance for both the instructor and student. Good flight schools will see this value. Your typical fly by the seat of the pants school won't care and the students (and instructors) suffer as a result.

I've checked into the Cessna Flight Training System and it's expensive and apparently only available to Cessna pilot centers (which requires a huge investment in Cessna products). The ERAU product is only available to ERAU. I have done a lot of research into other products and there just isn't anything else out there. Besides I've already built it. So if I end up offering it for free or for charge it will still be cheaper than anything mentioned here.

I am thinking of offering a couple of versions. One is the FAA PTS straight out of the box no customization or something I define. I'll work with some other instructors and the FAA to define that curriculum. This will probably be free or under $10 a month. Then a customizable version, which would have to be hosted separately. So I have to figure out the cost of hosting and I am talking with a few companies. Could be $50 to $100 a month.
