Eaglevoy new TA

First year pay is $30K at American? Hot damn, that's about half of what it is as a SouthernJets new hire.

However, the idea that one can't "afford" the first years "paycut" to flow to American is utter foolishness if you look at it from a pure financial sense.

Yes sir, I agree, though there is validity to staying put if you're within sight of retirement. QOL and pay both matter.

If I had more than 5 years, I'd be all over it. You're a pilot, go live the adventure. But if they're 60 they're on borrowed time that they wouldn't have had until age-60 was overturned so my answer is still... Go live the adventure.

No, which is BS.

XJT has been working under a concessary contract since 2008, but it's a-ok because it's XJT. Skywest has almost no work rules and pays poorly overall, but it's ok because "Skywest is a great regional."

PSA pilots credit 300 hours per month, but they're pieces of crap because they're PSA.
95% of people have no idea they took those paycuts..... no snapbacks either?

Actually, I think someone did a calculation where you could plainly see why an 18 year envoy captain should not go to American if they had X amount of years before turning 65. I was surprised to see it myself but if memory serves I think x might have equalled 8 years.

Its $40/hr and wont be after the JCBA or Arbitration. No one talks about ALPA, its a distant memory.
Will it be if it goes to arbitration? The MOU has $40. Wouldn't that take money from another part of the contract since it has to be cost neutral?

It's less, and will be much less after 2016 industry indexing raises. (which could happen sooner)

I threw it out there on the other site that an apology needs to be made if this passes to all the hate they have towards PSA and to a lesser extent PDT. If they vote this in, they will have stooped to their level. I get why, but they are so thick headed, they don't even understand that Envoy will be on the same level as PSA and PDT. They will all have voted yes because they were afraid of being out of a job. I get it. But the Envoy guys or the STW lynch mob can't go around still throwing it in the faces of PSA pilots. If PSA wasn't the first wholly owned in this "New AAG", it would've been PDT. I love how Envoy pilots like to put words in the mouths of PSA pilots. "They voted yes for personal gain". BS, no they didn't. At the time of the vote, PSA had 35 -200's and 17 -700's. Gee, let me think how fast Parker and Kirby could've farmed those out? It would've taken a phone call or two and that would've been it. PSA could've been shut down 2 or 3 times now, with how many planes have been taken away from Envoy. This whole problem of "B-Scale" aka concessionary contracts started many moons ago. The whipsaw cannot be stopped sadly. PSA is just a scape goat for Envoy pilots and the rest of the STW group. They're the easy target for the bullies to pick on.

So where does this leave Piedmont? Didn't they get promised the 170s?

Yep, just like how the e190 captain pay at Airways is 1 dollar more than aribus F/o Pay at delta. The mou was a very short sighted and rushed document.

What does $209 get me on the USAirways pay scale? Just out of curiosity.

This will pass. Even many of the most fervent former no voters have decided that this crap sandwich looks tasty enough to try. There are a lot of holes in it where I'm sure we will get screwed, but the closure of miami forced people to reevaluate which situation would be the lesser of two evils...TA or potentially jobless. I think all 2300 pilots here are trying to run far and fast, it's a stampede with very few making it up the ladder...but for the time being, crap sandwich shall be served. I'm going to throw my hat in and say the margin will be a pass by 66%.

Hey! We get whatever it is y'all bargained! Rabble rabble rabble, I believe we've done all the regional pissing contests to death.

Good seeing you (and the short one!) the other day, dude.

ALPA has taken a dump on regional F/Os since day 1 (notice in my post I never mentioned Envoy specifically). From buying jobs

ALPA never negotiated any such thing. In fact, after airlines starting PFT schemes, ALPA put a provision in the Admin Manual prohibiting MECs from allowing PFT.

to paying crap wages

Pilots negotiate and vote on their own wages at each airline. ALPA has nothing to do with it.

splitting bonuses unequally, etc.

See above.
