Any idea what this position entails? I'm assuming its nothing to do with dispatching from what the job discription says. A little information on what type of schedule it is? How long you'd have to wait to apply to dispatch? And any other information you'd like to share would be gratefully appreciated!

You didn't say in the post, but I'm assuming you are talking about American Airlines?

Hmmm well you generally have to wait one year to transfer within American Airlines, it's not unheard of to transfer after 6 months though (depending on your manager and the hiring manager). Although, if that position is a level 1 or above you could be looking at a 18 month transfer freeze.

Just so you know,
Level 1-5 are managers
Dispatchers and flight crews are not included in AA job levels.
Normal airline workers are a level 42...

Disclaimer: those were the job levels with Envoy, it may be slightly different within AA.
