AA (and Eagle) Uniforms

When are the AA/US Airways uniforms changing, and what are they changing to? Will the Eagle guys wear the same thing?

Sorry if this has been addressed already - couldn't find it.

I think its going to be 2016. I sure hope they have different uniforms for express and mainline, but as of now all the WO wear the same uniform as the mainline carrier. Eagle (envoy) guys will be wearing the uniforms of PSA, MESA, and TSA pilots.

Do you know what the uniforms will be? I was referring to Eagle as the collective pilots of all of the regionals - the guys with Eagle on the side of the airplane.

The new uniforms will go public sometime in Dec, in Jan 2015 there is a two month "wear test" and then they will be system wide in May 2016 IIRC.

There were pilots/FAs from AA, US, Eagle, and PSA at the uniform shin-dig so I assume the WO's are all getting the same uniform. I doubt the non-wholly owns will get the new look.

They are grey.

If you see someone with the new uniform feel free to give comments, they are supposed to pass it along to the company for feedback.

From what I've learned, the shirts will remain white.

From what I've heard, basically take a Delta uniform and have it be dark charcoal and silver rather than black and gold.
The pilots were lucky, at least ours is "OK" looking. Everyone else's is pretty bland, grey everything. Pants, shirts, jacket, vest, scarf, you name it...

UAL fired their uniform designer and had their uniform vendor make theirs. It's nice. IMO AA should've done the same thing, and skipped the ice cream bar party.

Send us a pic when you get yours. I just had to buy uniforms that will only be worn for a year.

Any word on outer jackets?
The public reveal will be sooner than I get it.

The leather jacket is really nice, high end, best feature of the whole uniform. I would guess a cost of around $300 just looking at it, maybe more. I doubt many will purchase it out of pocket.

On a side note I just bought a new black wool coat to wear over the winter this year and next, cost me $99, but I hate being cold.

I think if they hadn't made the uniform shirts white they'd have guys wearing white shirts for decades. I have 11 white shirts, 6 brand new and un-opened...

That's better than the $400 for the current Perrone leather jacket at Airways.

Heck, my M&H leather jacket at the previous shop what $395.

Any idea of the vendor for the jacket?

How many guys will just wear their previous leather jacket? I really doubt the leather jackets will be grey.

I heard we are gonna have to wear hats :(

Neither company has to wear hats as it is now, so why change it?

It may very well be $400+, it was just a guess.

No I don't know who will make the jacket, but it was nice. Very clean lines.

Because of the expense, I would hope they would stay with Perrone and black. That would make a lot of US pilots happy.
