American Airlines canceled a London-bound flight out of Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday after a passenger's phone picked up a WiFi network named "Al-Quida Free Terror."

LAX police officers boarded the plane about 10 p.m. and investigated the incident. A photograph posted online of one passenger's phone shows it connected with the full-strength WiFi hotspot.
Officials though, determined no crime had been committed, police Sgt. Karla Ortiz said.
"Passengers were interviewed and cleared to continue with their travel plans," she said in a statement.
Nevertheless, the incident prompted the airline to cancel the scheduled flight, stranding many passengers in Los Angeles for a day.

The terrorists have won a long, long time ago.

When I see how this country reacts to al Qaeda/the Islamic State or whatever terrorist group, I'm damn glad it's not facing down the Nazis and Imperial Japan.

D-Day? Ha! It'd be more like piss your pants day.

Imagine what the media would be saying if a passenger had reported this and the flight continued as scheduled. Unfortunately that's probably the best course of action.

Well to be fair, the government did put a large population of Japanese/Japanese looking people in internment camps after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

I didn't read your link, but free speech also doesn't apply to private individuals/companies. It's just a protection from the government.
Yes, and that is something I was trying to point out by saying no one was criminally charged. It seems that a lot of people don't understand that

And to add to your point, Von Braun, the genius behind the birth of our rocket/space program, was harassed by the press and public initially since he came from Nazi Germany.

Well uhm maybe he was harassed because he was a Nazi and member of the SS who had designed the V-2 who was also from Germany? I mean I'm extremely impressed with the man's intellect and accomplishments and I'm glad we nabbed him, but the ole "ich bin keine Nazi!" wears a bit thin...
