I've heard tell of some scofflaws getting uh distracted in the descent and hitting ~290 before things started to get lively.

Personally, I think they should be drug out in to the street and shot.

Pretty much that whole segment of the industry is as dead as fried chicken.

Last I head, it was just the DO and one Mitsi keeping the certificate alive at Air 1st. End of an era.

Their place in CAE is a Learjet and MU-2 junkyard. Are they even operating nowadays?

I heard them on the radio maybe a year ago. Judging by the altitude, it was probably a Lear. Past that, no idea.

Or when descending below 10,000ft into the sort at MDW at 2:30AM, all the company Learjets coming from all over the country and Chicago Approach says "Looks like you guys have a nice tailwind of about 75-80kts tonight. The winds must be swirling as all you guys have the same tailwind, regardless of the direction you are coming from". Code for we know the deal and we don't care.

I've had such a tailwind before too, once down to 7,000ft msl... just dind't realize it because we were doing checklists and stuff. Captain figured it out when I threw out 100% boards all at once.

We charter them every once and a while. They also happen to be flying riiight now...
