Hurricane Odile vs. Cabo Airport(SJD)

Hurricane won. There was a large airlift to get stranded pax out on random airlines as well as Mexican Air Force Transports, I know Virgin America, United, and Alaska all added extra flights from SFO for the evac. But the airport was closed after the last evac flights left and will remain closed while they fix this mess. La Paz airport is also closed. Insane damage...I'm surprised so many planes remained at the airport. Airliners were all flown out ahead of the storm, however.

Must have been a rough vacation...can't imagine.

From what I've read, it sounds like the Red Cross is down there staffing and stocking shelters for the many, many homeless after this disaster. This link is for their Disaster Relief fund, but donations here won't necessarily go directly in support of SJD:

Just the other day, we had a plane going to the northwest ramp at TUS. The pilots were being told by our ops people "just park up towards where the DC-10 is"

"Uh...guys, that's actually an L-1011"

"A what?"

Obviously most of the info out there is about SJD, but from what I gather CSL was damaged far worse and will be down until at least very late October. Haven't seen any pics unless some of the above were actually from CSL.

Pic #2 the tower says MMSL on it. Sucks!
