A proposed sick-out?

all on that site are "Pilot A – A strong minded alpha male who doesn’t take any , who’s not afraid to speak his mind, has had multiple sexual partners in his life and has a backup plan".......yet they are hiding behind anonymity..........

Because, we all know, girls don't fly. AMARITE, @wildfreightess?

I do add the following to my first briefing of the trip:
"If you see me doing something stupid, nonstandard, unsafe or otherwise acting a fool, I'm probably making a mistake and have yet to realize it. Let's be effin' pilots, and have a good time and a good trip!"
That's awesome.

Any trips without FOs in your near future ? I need to tdy (need the per diem moneyyyy)

That's pretty close to the one I gave last week: "If you see something strange, I'm not being creative, I'm screwing up and we'll both be at the big brown desk in Atlanta. Since you're type rated as well, the feds will kick you in the pee pee too"

Ha! Implying I'm a Captain. Cute!

(It turns out that you can set tone from the right seat, too. Thus, the little thing at the end.)

Captain-centric culture is tough to change, but yes, that's basically how it goes.

Woopssss you just seem like you'd be a captain is all! Sorry brah

That would be an accident of seniority.

(I sincerely hope that FOs the world over are active and engaged monitors, leaders, and so on - ESPECIALLY now that we're all typed! Almost everyone I fly with is quite happy to give me just enough rope to hang myself, which rarely happens, but sometimes does.)

I know several girls women who (1) are rather attractive and (2) can fly. Better than some of their ball-bearing counterparts, actually.

I know, I forgot the :sarcasm: tag as it was implied.

But then, that's why we have it as implied sarcasm isn't always readily apparent! :)

I know very few pilots who are Type B personalities.

It's sort of like a Captain saying he's standard (probably not) or "hella laid back" (almost certainly not) during our ICE briefing. "Yeah, sure!"
"I'm strictly by the book!"

Read that to mean, "I read the book once a long time ago, and I think I remember all of it, and there's some stuff I saw during IOE that became technique and therefor law in my cockpit... I'll probably skip some checklist stuff and then about day three wonder why you're still asking if I want it. Also, I'm moody and just walk on eggshells near me."

You know, I always thought this was the case, but last year we made a bit of mistake and the (thanks to the wonders of ASAP) we got an administrative letter of warning. Except I never got my letter. So about 6 months later, when I was getting my CFI renewed I asked the POI about it. He said that even though I hold a type in the plane, because I'm not PIC, unless I screw something up that is specific to my duties as an FO (like missing the fact a wheel is missing on the walk around) only the PIC gets in trouble.

Only in the Islands, brah.

Good POI!

Our POI was about to kick all three of us in the dick because were all typed but that's a good story for "over beers"!
