What have you done to further your career today?

There are still sandwich shops in CLE? That place was like Cormack McCarthy's "The Road" even before the cutbacks.

I'm not sure the subway is ever going to reopen inside C... Or has it already? I haven't been back in two months.
There is a subway outside of security but I highly doubt they would open one in C. Maybe in A or B.

I have not and will not eat at that one. They have some "interesting" practices. Actually, I'm sure most Subways would fall in that category.

All I know is that I have seen some cute girls working there.

Yes @Derg, cute girls do exist in the CLE area.

I fear today was a bit of regression for me. I'm leaving the world of a constant speed turboprop to go back to fixed pitch airplanes. It's a good thing they'll be hidden behind a cowling on the new whip though.

Let me know how life is at the Propeller Trash Re-Education Center.

Merely semantics, but the blades on your new ride rotate as well. And not just roundy round. ;)

P.S. The flying East of California sucks. Stay based in CA. Can't have you (or @Autothrust Blue ) heading my way and bumping me down the list.

Left the nuclear power industry in the rear view mirror and accepted my first aviation job as an airframe mechanic/technician.
We'll see how it goes. If I love it, I'll probably stay there until I retire.
If not, I'll quit and go fly somewhere.

I'm looking forward to a change of pace. As much as a PITA as the east coast can be, I miss flying out there. Plus the wider variety of destinations appeals to my inner ADD child. Where are you based? If I bump you down, suds on me if we ever cross paths!

I never thought I'd miss calling for push at LGA or deicing in BUF in January... but I kind of do sometimes.

I'm sure I'll eat my words in a few months trying to navigate ORD or IAD during a winter storm, but I miss the challenge and the dynamic nature of the east coast. Flying in mostly nice weather and flying the same routes has been awesome, and I've thoroughly enjoyed it but I want to be challenged again. As enjoyable as the flying I've been doing had been it has actually gotten, well...boring.

Check back here this coming winter, I'm sure I'll be singing a different tune. For now though I'm looking forward to expanding my horizon a bit. Hey, there we go...that's what I'm doing to further my career. I'm about to dive into a realm of flying I haven't experienced yet. I can't wait!
