F9

I'm sure they're quite worried about people leaving? Looking for people that maybe are very tied to Denver and are not very competitive at mainline I'm guessing?
Well for starters I'm pretty sure Frontier is mainline, no? Two why wouldn't they just call people who live in Denver currently? Why even bother interviewing those with an out of state address and nothing in their cover letter about relocating?

People leaving yes. Denver and competitive at other mainline airlines, not so much. I was the lowest time, non-fighter jet, in my interview group. They took 1 out of 14 from my day.
It was a confusing day for me and for the others that got the TBNT, including some others here on JC. I was asked 3 times over the course of the day whether or not I had applications in with Delta or United specifically. I kept moving to the next stage even though I think my truthful answer to that question was my demise.
I would have liked to work there but I've moved on and it's their loss.

Sorry. Legacy.

Don't Lakers get hired there all the time? Sucks about the other apps though. Seems like an invasive and relatively unnecessary question. There could come a time in the near future where they won't have the luxury of being so picky.

Perhaps but I guess they are afforded that ability right now.
I was pretty frustrated (understatement) after the email but I've moved on, hit the books harder and waiting for the next opportunity.

Chin up friend. Next opportunity will be soon enough.

US Airways has had issues with guys starting training and bailing for DAL/UAL, can't imagine Frontier isn't seeing that either.

Must've been bad recently. I know quite a few guys hired on with F9 at the end of last year. Those guys helped out buddies with the same stats get interviews a month or so ago, all received a TBNT.

Mike has it nailed. Count me in the totally baffled group that got the TBNT. I was honest about other apps I have out, and was grilled VERY hard about it. I'm a local, even grew up here in DEN. I'm pretty convinced they thought I was going to bolt to United. Oh well, like Mike said it's their loss and something else will come along!

Well, eventually they won't be able to be afraid or will have to increase the overall package to keep guys.

I was pretty detailed about my interview experience on APC, and several current F9 folks PMd me and said the same.

The entire interview process was very professional, and I thoroughly enjoyed everybody at F9 I met. The only exception was the interrogation on why I would stay at F9 since I have apps out. They REALLY need to ditch that, as it's doesn't fit in with what they're trying to accomplish IMO. Quite honestly, it basically forces some people to lie, which I'm not willing to do.

That's surprising they didn't give you a slot. I think they need to be honest with themselves, they're not UAL and won't offer the pay scale and variety of UAL, so of course guys are going to try and leave. If I was interviewing someone and they said "no", personally I would know they were lying!

With the way hiring is going to be picking up here, the relative new hires at all the mini-majors will be leaving IMO. I know I would be looking to punch out, although you can be a lot more picky at that point.

Denver is a beautiful city, UAL wasn't in the cards for me and I'm not going to commute so it'll never happen but I'm jealous of the folks who can live in domicile there.

I'm convinced I didn't get hired at Horizon in 87 because I didn't say I wanted to work there forever....
