Gotta be a sick feeling to face federal charges. I thought one of the comments at the bottoms of the article was funny: "Pilots can get any woman they desire anytime. He must be desperate. Poor judgment on his his part". Don't let my wife know that pilots can get any woman they desire at anytime. Haha
 
No minor is worth it. I set my Tinder search to 21 just to make sure I have a good buffer zone for these occasions. I've met girls before who said they were years older than they really were(never underage however). It's hard to tell sometimes, but I'm guessing this guy knew since he's in such deep doo-doo.

Random story, a guy I knew at Chico State ended up hooking up with a girl at his house party who was 17 and crashed the party. She pretended to be a student, and I guess she told the truth because she was a student...of the local High School. The police were called as she was reported missing, the truth came out, parents tried to press charges, and the guys defense? I quote(and I want to say an online article actually posted said quote), "When girls blow you on your patio, do you check them for ID first?". He walked away clean. Became something of a legend. But gotta be careful sometimes.

Someone I knew from high school went to prison at age 18 for statutory rape, he was 18 and she was 17 and they never had intercourse. He was not rehabilitated, he was changed, and not in a good way. If your story is true that guy you knew is very, very lucky.

His dad was also the CFO of a very large and well known department store so I'm guessing he had an awesome lawyer. He also got away with a DUI when he was pulled over being 20 with a .02BAC.

Guy was an FO, so pictures were probably from his CFI days.

I keed, I keed. Lock him up and throw away the key. Seriously. Adolescence is hard enough without some dude jumping out of the computer looking for a booty call.

Didn't remember seeing the story back then. At any rate, I wouldn't say "old news". There may have been an article on him being arrested and charged, but he just pleaded guilty a few days ago.
