Surf Air...

Just announced an order for 15 new PC12 NGs, and options for 50 more.. They just negotiated 65 million in new funding. It's quite impressive.

Anybody there right now? How is it? @Air Pirate you know anyone there?

@JordanD Might not be a bad idea to throw them your resume...

I haven't heard anything about planesence in a long time.

Sounds like surf air is looking to be a big competitor.

Planesense is getting a bunch of the PC24s! I think SurfAir will do pretty well considering their business model can actually make money even if they fly with a low load factor. I think it's really cool to see them take off like this.

I know someone there @juxtapilot . Want me to PM you his email? The last time I talked to him, they weren't hiring pilots but said they will be this summer or fall.

I've been trying to get on with surf air for awhile. Looks like soon they'll definitely be needing more pilots..

Planesense and Surf Air are in two very different markets, both geographically, and different business models. The only thing they have in common is aircraft type. Fun fact: The current Surf Air fleet is all old Planesense airplanes.

There may be another class coming up, you could come join me at my new gig. :) The locations arent exactly QX quality, but you could be home in Anchorage every night.

For info on me and Compass, see Compass thread. ;)

App is in at Mesa <-- Something I thought I'd never say, but XJT is dying fast.

Mesa is getting refleeted out and currently has a low upgrade time. Smart money is on that if you hurry. Or Compass, but that seems to be where everyone wants to go. So better hurry up there too, and get your number before the music stops. Or go to QX, like @SurferLucas mentioned.

That was so yesteryear. Where have you been?

I remember hearing that they wanted to transition to an all Q fleet. And I think that they were giving their 700's away to SKYW. This was around the time that they really wanted to spin off AS. and just focus on QX. Well, no one really talks about QX as much as they used to, so yeah. I kinda tuned out. But I at least remember hearing about all this stuff from awhile back.

Yeah, Skywest got the -700s.
