Jumpseat Without Passport

Has anyone here ever done this? Mine is out to get Visas added, am I stuck or are there other ways for gate agents to verify your info. If so, will it be a problem with some agents? Thanks for any input you can provide.

The only airline that likes you to have your passport is southwest. Your company id does fine.
 
You should be able to get on AS/QX just fine...only once lately has DL asked for my Passport (in the past year that is)

Don't be late going back. They are not flexible that way.
 
I wouldn't personally attempt jumpseating without a passport. Mainline guys will deny you if your stuff isn't in order.
 
With the exception of swa and international I have never been asked for a passport and I can't find it required in anyone else's jumpseat policy.

Company ID, certificate and medical.

Delta routinely asks for it. In some locations I've had luck just giving a driver license instead. But most take the passport and worse, they put your passport number down on the CA's copy of the jumpseat form.
 
Anyone tried AA without it? I know they have the weird online listing system for jumpseaters but I haven't been on them in years.
 
You can non-rev all day without a passport. You're not supposed to be allowed the actual jumpseat without it. Just tell them your passport is out for renewal/visas/whatever.
 
I get asked on USAirways when I have to ride in the cockpit.

I have three. Seriously.

Tried that with United. Denied. SFO-DEN = domestic flight with 50+ seats open in the economy/main cabin. Not physical jumpseat.

I have three also. Two US passports and an Irish passport. Seems some Middle Eastern countries won't let you enter if you have an Israeli entry stamp in a passport. That can be a bit of a problem when your air line and category go to those places. Also, it can take forever to get the Russian visa, so we use the second passport for that as well.

As for the Irish passport, well, I'm just one of God's chosen children!

Are you worried about them doing something with your passport number? Worry about using your credit card and people writing down numbers, not inane stuff like passport numbers.

Wait. You want to ride in the cockpit but you think a gate agent seeing your passport is risky?

You so know CASS has the same data and they're just comparing your credentials.
