Located in Punta Gorda Florida looking for two skydive pilots for Cessna 182's weight must be below 180 pounds schedule part time Wednesday through Friday one Weekend a month. Pay is $10 Per load to 10,000 feet or $5 dollars Per load to 3500 feet. Just passing the info along

Welp, that would've been perfect for my off time job if I weren't so damned heavy.

How is it I can be at 192 pounds and fly 4 skydivers in a 1959ish 182? Is it the STOL kit? Hmmm

Has to be the STOL kit.

Yes it's actually less than a mile from my house. But I'm pretty sure the hours I get instructing, although it's a 140 mile round trip drive, would far outweigh this gig in hours and pay. :)

Wait, people actually jump out from 3500?
To get your license you have to jump from 3,500 a couple times to simulate main canopy failure and using your reserve chute. Not sure if that many people do it besides for training.

I am pretty sure you do not. The 3,500 feet is probably a static line progression course.

Is it a static line from that altitude then?
Yea I think so at that altitude.

Sorry, I think your right that 3,500 is static. A lot of schools require emergency exit, or low solos, I couldn't find anything saying it was required by USPA though. They usually happen around 5000ft or so and it is not static. They use their main chute, but it's to simulate using the reserve if you had to cut away from your main chute.

Most Static Line and IAD (Instructor Assisted Deployment) students make their first several jumps from 3500 feet. It is also very common for people working on competitive canopy flight to get out low and immediately deploy their parachutes. I have a ton of lower jumps, including several dozen at about 2700 feet.

Jumping out at 3500 is pretty common most jumpers that enjoy canopy work jump out at 3500 because it's cheaper than getting to full altitude.
