That's cool. Makes me feel good to know that people can still be amazed by stuff.

The NPR station did a cool piece about how the plane "inspired us to look skyward once again." It was pretty cool to see the big lady take off at sunset like that.

Virgin Atlantic VS019F arriving from Heathrow Air France AF083 Super Duper headed to Paris, and an Alaska 737-700 tagging along going to SEA. The Virgin Atlantic pilot was very nervous to taxi past the A380 since they only have 13 feet of clearance. "We'll just sit here." "Well, you're blocking the A380 so...it's not going anywhere...". Then when I finally get them moving, the Alaska 737 gets nervous about taxiing behind the A380. "Well, would you rather do that or go nose to nose with Virgin?". Oh well, all made for a good picture.
