Is there anything similar to Sheppard Air for the A&P writtens? A buddy of mine will be taking the writtens soon. I looked on Sheppard Air and they don't have the A&P.

There are a few hits on google but not many reviews for any of them. Can anyone recommend something they have used?

There used to be some companies that offered test prep courses for the General, Airframe and Powerplant writtens, as well as administering the tests at the end. I think they were mostly geared towards people coming out of the miltary. Several days of test prep with the test on the last day. I can't remember the names of any of them.

That's exactly what he needs!! Just got out of the military and he already has his training records available.

He found some stuff through iTunes that looks promising. We will see how the tests turn out I guess.

Checked with a friend of mine, there's a place in Riverside, CA (don't let the name fool you, it's the Valley of the Dirt People) AV Tech Schools that offers these courses.

The best prepware for the A&P if you have an iPad is the ASA software from the app store. It's only $25 bucks when I bought it a few years back.

Studying for it still sucks. I'll be taking my general probably next week.

Dauntless does A&P study as well... Checkride.com

With my classification as an E-6B Flight Engineer giving me the authorization to test, I went to a refresher course here in OKC, Federal Exams. Crash course through studying the questions, but he also does Oral and Practical prep work as well. Was a quick catch up on the difference between military and FAA logbook procedures, O&P was a piece of cake.

ASA's iPhone/iPad App is good. I bought the general, airframe and power plant test prep for $9.99 on iTunes for my iPod Touch.
