Rumor mill: Future of Expressjet?

Disagree. This is how the game is played. Parent companies will draw down flying at rah, xjt, and eagle. Junior pilots at those three will leave for Mesa and PSA. Ask the junior ranks at Skywest and compass where they worked before.... Comair and pinnacle to name a few. Another reason to bring flying back in house at the majors.
American Eagle Envoyage.

Hell, half of my class was ex-Colgan.

I don't think they need help tanking the performance numbers.

The point is that CEO Anderson is on record saying he literally hates XJT and would like to see the company default so they can cancel the dci contracts. While the practice of purposefully delaying flights by finding damage isn't illegal, it certainly is a lowdown method of sabatoging an operation that is supposed to be that of a "partner". This industry is incredibly screwed up.

Isn't that kind of what Mesa argued on their Freedom contract with Delta? Basically crying because Delta set them up to fail by cramming a bunch of flights in a time they clearly couldn't do them?

Freedom crying? I think their delays had more to do with assigned flow times (by DL) into JFK. Happens all the time; the mainline cancels and delays the feeder airline flights at (insert major congested hub). The mainline #'s are pumped up while the feeder's #'s are disproportionately worse. Even though DL caused the problems in Freedom's case, I don't think Freedom had anything in it's agreement with DL protecting it from this action...So when DL wanted to rid themselves of Freedom, it was easy and legal to do so.

Sorry to hear. Keep the faith.
I fly a good airplane. I'm even better at sitting long call reserve.

(Actually, I just did a career day-type thing this morning at my old flight school; it was nice to see some fresh faces. All in all I think I've had a great career thus far and look forward to going higher, faster etc., but the irony of terkin' mah own jerb is kind of stinging.)

Starting over at another regional is never good man. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Several on this site have done it with wonderful success. I have a friend that left Endeavor last fall for Compass that will be upgrading late fall. This person's former coworkers at their seniority are not only still FOs but still on reserve.

Him and about 100 others. It'll only get faster too now! As @amorris311 has stated were close to a sub 2 year upgrade. 20 more people and we're into July 2013 hires.
