My ... teehee ... jet has a two-part utility door, the aft part of which is locked with a fairly simple double-pawl top and bottom latch actuated by a single red handle. The forward door has an integral pull-type handle on the outside complete with over-center latching mechanism to allow external closure. The internal mechanism is a rotate-to-close style "handle."

Efficient and error-free. Unless you forget to close the aft section, which will apparently cause structural damage.

But, um, I digress~

Until passengers try to ram the handle down on the front door before the door is actually closed.
At least the sled doors leak less than the PA32 ones, I'm an unapologetic fan of The Big Six but the door is not one of the strong points especially on the pre-1976 models.

And don't let the line guys assume the handle for the drag chute is the parking brake.
Or the emergency brake.

The door works well. I can't tell you how many med crews I have seen take headers while opening the door. Some have pneumatic assist and some free fall.
