Keep the props in that position so the birds don't crap on them.
I flew them in AZ, I wouldn't know. Its not so bad when the temps are under 70.![]()
Thats actually a problem I havent had! Good to know.Keep the props in that position so the birds don't crap on them.
Yeah, that would suck. Kind of a dog when it gets warm.I flew them in AZ, I wouldn't know.
Wow! That is crazy. I thought some of our airports were crazy. They dont have anything on that!Ours were T207's but still not great when the DA gets up in the 10K-11K range.
Used to fly to this lovely airport at Monument Valley. One way in, one way out. Good times.

Looks kind of Crooked Creek. Same basic dimensions. Looks kind of fun. Pilot Station is another one that gets interesting. Especially in a fully loaded CASA.You should see False Pass!
I'm surprised you have a MT on a 207 in Alaska. They aren't the cheapest propeller, nor the most durable with regards to FOD damage.
They are great on the aerobatic airplanes. Lighter, smoother and better performance during maneuvers. The down side is the are fragile when compared to the aluminum propellers.
I have flown Hartzell Props, "Made on Honor" in Piqua, Ohio....still not sure why one of my CFIs made me learn that.

Have you had any reviews on "Whirlwind" propellers?
Not really, when I worked for the prop shop we had one or two come through for overhaul after catastrophic failure from improper installation not design flaw. A friend tried one on his unlimited composite monoplane and wasn't happy with it, went back to a wide chord MT.
The guy that owns Whirlwind has an awesome Tailwind.
Thats crazy. What kind of FOD was it?
Interesting. I find in the 207 it to be a lot smoother, and a little bit quieter. I also think it looks really good on the 207.
