smartcockpit.com gone?

Dang, I should have downloaded that stuff when I first thought about it. I was just telling someone about this yesterday.

I just tried. Came up blank for me too. Tried all the sub links from a Google search as well - no joy.

Maybe Ludo's server(s) took a dump. The cache pages from the 24th are still viewable. Hopefully he'll be back up at some point.

Great resource, but I've always wondered about the legality of posting what seemed to be proprietary information... ?

Wow. So much better than what was handed to me for my training. I asked for information like this during differences. "Just study the oral exam guide." Umm, that's just a bunch of canned answers that don't actually teach me anything.

They have references on where to dig in the OM/FOM for more detailed answers. That said, especially on systems stuff, I agree that many things have gotten rather vague over the years.

Even those are horrible. It teaches one systems knowledge that will get you canned answers. Being of a mechanical back ground, that just doesn't work for me. I do better with engineering type study material.
