It can vary quite a bit from bid to bid. This next bid looks good... I have a mix of 3 and 4-day trips. Some lines have CDO's, some have 2-days. A reserve line has 13 days off.

I'm one of the most junior line holders (there are only two below me) and my line is 17 days off with 5 credits over min guarantee. Even junior line holders can get some pretty good stuff.
You've been reported to the company, if I get shafted with a 13 day off/72 credit hour all trips composite line a few bids ago, so do you!

On that note, thank God it's Friday! It's been exhausting sitting OE reserve all week, no call and getting paid for it. 4 days off and the weather is going to be niiiiiice
Do you call training scheduling at the start of your OE reserve periods? I recommend that. They'll be pretty upfront with you about your odds of going to work any time soon.

The only thing better than reserve at home with no calls is reserve at home when you KNOW there won't be a call.

Enjoy not getting called on OE reserve. Plan on getting called about 99% of the time on regular reserve, then having your trip reshuffled about 50% of the time.

Cheers!

having your trip reshuffled about 50% of the time!

Go for 70-85% of the time for reserve FO's...it's a giant tetris board at CS and you're the piece that will fit, no matter what shape you are. I goofed up my bid a few one ago and ended up with an AM reserve slot...it was PAINFUL

This.

You will be used, and you will be re-scheduled. Usually on a daily basis.

I was being generally optimistic with 50%. Getting used is a good thing though. I'd rather have the down time between sim and IOE, than to have downtime after IOE. That happened to me previously - sitting reserve the first two months with nothing but a couple of short trips.

Are they still hiring? How long is normal wait time to get a call for the interview? Is GEG senior? What base serves PUW?

Good thread, thank you.

Oh boy. They have me AM reserve starting July 18th. I'll start catching up on sleep tonight...

If we're not actively interviewing, it's only because of the training backlog they have at the moment. I'd expect hiring to continue indefinitely. It takes a while to get a call. Anywhere from a couple of weeks to upwards of a month.

Spokane is not senior. None of the bases are senior at the moment. New hires can get every base except Anchorage.

I have no idea where most of the trips that go through PUW are built out of... we don't overnight there, so it's not really something that's readily apparent.

News from my end: I was able to use SAP to work my 17-day-off line into having 18 days. Then they pulled a 2-day trip away from me because they needed it for IOE. Hooray for 20 days off next bid!

The app window closed May 30th so I will wait and hope for a call. GEG would be sweet!

What's up with no ANC for new-hires? Fully staffed, or something else?
