I wonder if Chicago will give me credit for time served in the hold when it's time to press on north....

Great memories. Got my kids up, they have been begging to go flying for a while now. Got my good buddy and his wife up, who was an adamant no about flying and now is a yes. And their kids. Good day all around.

He broke it jumping OFF the trampoline. Hiked for miles the other day like a champ!
What a trooper! Love his little backpack. lol He looks like he's got long legs and going to be tall. Man, I just adore little kids. They melt my heart. Not much on earth more awesome than children. They are only little for such a short time it seems. They seem to grow up so fast. Sigh. My eldest grandson broke his damn arm falling off the monkey bars at a park a few years back. Gave everyone a coronary. The first night or two was a bit rough but after that he was fine and wanted to go back to the park a few days later. Kids are tough. They have falls and tumbles that would kill most adults. You race over to them and they look at you like, what? I 'm fine. Meanwhile your heart is beating out of your chest and you try to be "cool" about it.

It's the best when you can share flying with those in your family and friends. We so enjoy taking family members on little day trips or overnights somewheres when we can.

He is! Funny little kid. Day after he wanted to jump again. I love taking people up flying, especially those who have never been. I would love to have a plane someday to do just that.

Kids are so amazing. It stuns/takes you aback somehow at times with how much they are their own little individual person with all their own little ways, quirks, mannerisms, thoughts, ideas, wants/needs, ways of doing things, likes/dislikes, figuring things out etc. Sometimes they really surprise you. Because they are so small with not a lot of experience yet, you are often surprised at how much is going on in their minds, how much they have learned and picked up on and how differently they can view things and what they think about. It's quite the challenge and yet the adventure of raising them is just like nothing else.

I always enjoy explaining the basics to non pilots and having them become interested in how a plane actually works and seeing how much they enjoy the views and the freedom that flying brings. It's really great when you let them "fly" just a bit and get the feel of things. People really like that and it gives them an entire new perspective.

Here's to the Moms! I was born May 14, 1978 which also happened to be another's Day so that day has always been special for us. I grew up flying with my dad in his Mooney. My Mom pretty much never flew with him because she's a bit of a white knuckle flyer. Despite that, she's flown with me in every type of airplane I've ever piloted. Not because I asked her to but because she always wanted to. I cherish those flights. She has always been excited about my career choice and was actually the one who encouraged me to walk away from my desk job and pursue what she knew I REALLY wanted to do. She paid for more than a few lessons. I'm leaving the 757/767 at the beginning of June and she is hoping to come on a trip with me. Here's hoping she gets on board.

That's awesome. My parents make every excuse under the sun to not ride on one of my flights. I stopped asking years ago.

But they've flown with @Derg
