For all the Texas haters

I don't think it would've been that "neat" if I had to fly over it at low-level for 4 years. I do see where you're coming from. Very sorry about my routing? Don't follow you there, but that was where the boss was going. I don't get to pick that.

So Texas is almost as big as Alaska, which means I'll get shouted down when my airline adds more service to the Dallas metroplex? :)

"Oh no, SouthernJets is flying into Alliance now, they're doomed. DOOOOMED"

Having lived in both places Alaska beats Texas hands down. The only advantage to Texas was how cheap it was to live there. Which was good because both the jobs I held there paid peanuts.

Judging by those on this website that live there I say the number is low.
agreed...there was a study done where people enjoyed being part of a community that is difficult to live in and where most people would choose not to be...I can't find the study but it's out there

Well to be fair, you lived in probably one of the worst places in Texas. It's not an accurate depiction of Texas as a whole. More like a depiction of the ArkLaTex region. I think it would definitely be a "hands down" when comparing Alaska to East Texas.
