For all the Texas haters

At the risk of being a bandwagoneer in this thread... I loves me some Texas. I've had some of the best times of my life in Grapevine, partied pretty hard in Arlington, and been in awe at the terrain, flying between Dallas and Midland on up to Amarillo. Taco trucks in Houston can't.be.beat from what I know anyway.

I always get a kick out of reading some pompous post about some state or some region. The generalization about people from this place or the other. Maybe I'm lucky, but I seem to find the nicest/smartest/most genuine people everywhere I go! Texas is definitely no exception.

I spent 4 years flying low-levels in that area...and I can't for the life of me figure out what you mean by "terrain" in that area. You mean hundreds of miles of brush and wind farms?

If you meant Big Bend, I get it.

I didn't mean high, peaking, or otherwise terrain. West Texas was just something I hadn't seen before, and I can appreciate all of that open space. I did that flight down low in a Cirrus instead of up in the 40's so it was a different perspective than I'm accustomed to. ADS.LBB.LNK. That's fly-over country to the maximum there, but hey, I can dig that too...

The overnights in EGE, GUC, MTJ, etc. are fun, but we don't get bummed out if a Texas trip pops up either.

I'm very sorry about your routing.
