License in the Mail

Instrument checkride was Sept. 22nd and still haven't gotten plastic. I'm on my 2nd emergency field issuance. I did turn in an 8710 instead of IACRA and the government shutdown a week after the checkride. But still....
 
Well, I finally got my certificate. Check-ride was 12/03/2013 and received card 04/05/2014. Only one field issuance.
 
Besides furlough, they said I didn't show I qualified even tho I already held ATP AMEL and showed over 1600 hours in a CE-172 (class) so they sent it back and the ASI was gone for over two weeks. Airman records has a different interpretation of rules. I used to go round and round with them at times.

So, the root cause was the 50 hours in type wasn't entered where it is wanted. That has caused a lot of bumpy rides for new ATPs recently.

However, to coin an old cliche, all is well that ends well.
 
IACRA hasn't caught up yet! I administered a couple of ATP ASEL's and both were returned for the same reason. Live and learn.
