Norwegian Air International (and so it begins)

I think it's all a ruse to claim they want to hire US pilots to satisfy any political concerns, but have no real intentions to do so.

Fully agree.

Plus, a lot of "us" will think "ZOMG! I'll get hired there then go to Delta!"

*Giggle*

I was confused when I saw that posting..do they want to hire US pilots to fly their international routes out of JFK or do they want to use that as a way to get US flying?

Just curious about few things:

1. Why is it age discrimination? The FAA itself limits how old you can be to get hired in ATC, right? This job comes with age limits.

2. Haven't US Airlines had bases in foreign countries before? How is this different? Are they actually talking about flying domestically in the US? It sounded more to me like it was an international base. I could be wrong, though.

3. This looks like a typical international job posting to me. Didn't Cathay or some of the other international airlines have US bases? Just curious how this is different...
