A few points on this:

Where are they going to find US-based (or even American) pilots, that have just north of 1500 hours with 500 on the 777, 757/767, 747, or 737?

Isn't the ad AGE discrimination?

There's a reason why they are using the employment laws of Singapore. Regardless, how many pilots in the USA have EASA licenses and medicals?

Just curious about few things:

1. Why is it age discrimination? The FAA itself limits how old you can be to get hired in ATC, right? This job comes with age limits.

2. Haven't US Airlines had bases in foreign countries before? How is this different? Are they actually talking about flying domestically in the US? It sounded more to me like it was an international base. I could be wrong, though.

3. This looks like a typical international job posting to me. Didn't Cathay or some of the other international airlines have US bases? Just curious how this is different...

It's not an N-registered aircraft therefor the EASA license, based in US needs work permit.
