The date of issuance on FAA dot gov can be from a simple address change.
Or the old type license to the new ones.

My last rating was 1979 but the day of issue on my Wright Brothers license is in 2007.

...on closer inspection of the database, my dates now match my plastic too...and I need to update my address :).

That is (was?) a nice looking 170.

I wonder if you could slap a new engine, prop, cowling, etc. on it and still have a damn fine looking 170?? Obviously it would have to be meticulously inspected but I have seen worse looking planes come back from the dead.

And I am obviously ignoring the miraculous ending that no one was seriously hurt. Those pictures are crazy!

Heck, at my old flight school, pretty much every plane was acquired and "resurrected" in such fashion.
Sucks to see a 170 get so abused. Glad to see everyone limped away ok. Looked awfully "draumatic".
