Sadly, no, I'm out in Delaware (yes, it's a real place) with the snow and all that. I AM growing a bit of a man-beard myself, because CK hasn't found a use for me yet, and I'm damned well not using a razor I invested a whole seven cents in until I have to! Go to the Schlafly brewery, you won't be sorry.

No idea. You can see how profitably I spent my ~8 years in The Heartland. That said, if you've a minute or two, also hit up the Art Museum and the City Museum. And if you've a further couple of minutes, go to the Bleeding Deacon down in South City. Awesome food, good beer, The Clash on the jukebox. Nuff said.

I used to go to Dewey Beach and Rehoboth Beach all the time when I was in high school and NO, Im not gay (local area folks will understand that). I just happen to love that area. It was a great alternative to get away from the Ocean City crowds. Delaware=CHICKEN COOPS

I started a thread about it once. It's not about the O2 masks, while it may be technically true, that's an excuse that companies use to not have to play beard police with guys who get all scruffy and what not. JetBlue allows goatees I've been told.

Actually, on our masks in the Lear 45 it's placarded on the masks "mask will not seal with beard". That might not be the exact wording but it's some thing like that. I can double check when I work on Tuesday. That may what you meant by "not technically true"?

If I had my way I'd never shave. I tell my friends/family when they ask how long ago I went to work to just look at my face. The longer the beard, the further away from work. I've always said I get paid to shave. :)

Ah, I stand corrected. Didn't know any airplanes had it placarded, I had asked around before when I had met some Alitalia and Cathay pilots with beards and was told it's more company policy than safety.

Lots of our guys have beards... some of them pretty scruffy ones too. I *thought* only neighbor island was allowed to have them but I've seen plenty of world wide pilots sporting them as well. No issues with the masks I guess.

I think it's just some thing EROS puts on the mask to satisfy the lawyers. Or they weren't tested with beards so the FAA makes them placard it. I'm sure there are some masks that have been tested with them. I always thought it was just management BS, since I'd heard there are airlines that allow it. I've tried it on with four'ish months worth of growth and it seemed to seal, but that was on the ground.
