Unrelated, how are you liking the Saabaru?

LOVE IT. Despite the dramatic absence of torque compared to the GTO, the car is still incredibly fun to drive and it obviously has a ton of utility that the goat lacked. Handles WAY better too and it's still on all season tires. I can't wait put some serious rubber on this thing and see what it will do.

Oh, also lots more aftermarket parts that are more affordable than the GTO.

Absolutely. When I first got it, I found it wasn't quite as fun as my Mazdaspeed3 was, but that's because I wasn't doing it quite right. Get in the right gear to be around 3500-4000rpm as you go down a nice twisty road...heaven.

That and i've really enjoyed driving it in the snow that we've gotten. I'd love to get it some snow tires in order to be able to stop. But other than that, every time I drive it in the snow I just can't believe how good it is. Starting out and turning it does fantastic, but without snow tires I have to plan way ahead...my plan B if I'm about to hit something is to just turn and hit something else.

In a lot of ways, I think this car/engine encourages me to drive faster because winding the engine and turbo up is so satisfying. The GTO could loaf along in any gear and have ample reserve power to accelerate fast. This car requires much more planning ahead with the power, but I genuinely enjoy the level of driver-involvement.

If you are going to go get your degree from a For-profit University, I think the University of Phoenix is the most respected one out there.

I kind of feel like its egging me on sometimes. It was even worse with my Mazda. With that thing the faster you went, the more it seemed like the suspension was buckling down, you were getting into the meat of the torque band, and it was really coming into its own.

"I'm gonna see how fast I can get to 60...ok, this is nice...what's 10 more MPH...ok, this is awesome...just a little longer...sweet holy crap I need to stop."

I hope they have more solid motor mounts on the Subaru. The first time I launched in my MS3, I think the turbo banged against the firewall. I need to buy an aftermarket one.

Its hard to tell...a lot of the time the boxer engine sounds and feels like a diesel.
