Who is stuck out of town on Christmas???

Apparently you didn't see my FB photo last night. Liquor run done in advance. 8)
Ok just saw it.

You need way more. Plus, what are the other guys brining to the venue?

Plus, ask the front desk if you could have access to a ballroom or hospitality room.

My freshman year at Southernjets, the hotel hooked us up with glasses, silverware and some "starter refreshments" and we had a grand time.

You bastards are all airline pilots now. Let your inner pirate out on Christmas and don't sit around sulking. Besides, there's no one to tell you to watch your language or ask how many gin rickeys you've had.

Arrrrrrrre!

We have a case of 16oz beer, a bottle of tequila, 6 bottles of wine, case of corona, and a few six packs of some Texas IPA. There is a talk of another run. That is for three of us.

Not sure what others are bringing. I know one has gin but that is it.

Now that is mother truckin' better! :)

Let out that inner pirate, bro!

... Facebook and JC are treated as two independent realms!

Too bad not everyone does that. I saw a post on JC earlier that referenced things that you've posted on FB but not here, and all I can think is that someone is sure desperate to be publicly recognized as a "friend" of yours if they're going to do that. Self-proclaimed Inner Circle is what it feels like to me.

Actually, I hate the cult that is "Facebook".

If I got off it, there would be drama. But if i don't monitor it, there's drama because "DUUUUUDE, I send you a message six months ago about blah blah blah and you didn't answer".

Sometimes, I think living with Herpes would be easier.

In my day, when I signed up for 'The Facebook', you needed a .edu email address to sign up with, there were only about a dozen or so universities in the Northeast that were allowed to join, and the primary purpose was to meet chicks/guys to 'hook up' with.

Now, when I look at my Facebook feed, and I see posts from baby boomers in a rage about the way those Duck folk are being treated, or the 'war' on Christmas, or gay marriage, I wonder if their moral compass needs to look on what the original purpose of Facebook was. Betchya they would be surprised and repulsed at the same time!

Why would people looking for hookups be considered immoral? :)

Well, if you get in a car wreck on the NE side of the city of Indianapolis Christmas Eve day or Christmas Day I might see you... in the back of an ambulance.

Personally, I hope I don't see any of you that day! :)

I work both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 9-8. However, I get to be home both nights, so I don't have it that bad and I'm not going to whine about it at all. Plus, I get double-time pay for Christmas Day.

I missed something. You working now more then contract FA stuff?

I'm out on rotation (volunteered, the extra money was too good to pass up) from 12/18-1/3 with double time on 12/25 and 1/1 and hell-a per diem. However, I'm in a spot where the temp on Christmas will be 80 degrees and my wife and son will be down on 12/24. No sadness here.

I'll actually be off this xmas, I worked the last 4 in a row.

I said that constantly when I worked for Omni. :p

I'll be in SYD for Christmas this year.
Summertime christmas, can't go wrong there. Along with the other perks.

I hear you on that one. I hate Facebook itself, but it's really the only good way I have to keep in touch with many of my friends. If everyone signed up for the far less invasive Google+ and I could keep in touch with everyone there, I would in a heartbeat.

That sounds...painful. Do you have to go right back to the states or are you doing a shorter Asia turn? 13 hours then off to the US would be brutal.
Operate NRT-SYD, 13 hours, then commercial to PVG (Shanghai). That's what's planned right now, at least.

If anyone is in SUA or PBI area, PM me. I'll have some room for a displaced crew and my house.
