Doesn't this all stem from some crash in China and Bombardier implementing a stupid procedure just to CTA?

I will have to do some mental logging on this front but I know that we do on occasion have airplanes that don't have cautions for it disappear "just because the power is up".

The system seems to be operating normally during times where you have no caution but no advisory (well cowls yes, wings no) during the roll.

The way we do it, 5*C or less regardless of conditions (blue sky), Wings On except with Type 4 applied. Before taking off, Wings OFF. You don't get any Caution Msg. You get Caution Msg because your APU is either off or not enough power, wich is normal at idle. During taxi it is normal to get the caution Msg (it's annoying I know)

No. That one wasn't even de-iced before it took off (last I saw anyhow). The CA, VCA, & FO (Vice captain by the way, can't make this stuff up), elected to takeoff 15 early with a cake's layer of ice on the entire airplane.

It was a crash down south (apparently an ex Pinnacle pilot if you believe one CA I talked to familiar with the accident) which rated at 2.9 degree per second, and did everything right from what I can tell, but the wing stalled from active frost during the rotation. He did the job as he was trained to do it, plane just didn't want to fly.
