JetBlue pilots make safe landing after laser blinding

A few years back a bunch of us got hit coming out of PHL one night. They sent up a police helicopter and wouldn't you know it, the idiot lased the helo. So they simply landed in the street in front of the house that was causing the problems, walked up to the front door and knocked. Turns out it was a 14 year old kid and his friends. Can't do much to a juvenile but have been hit three times now myself, I'm very much in favor some form of slow torture for those that do this.
 
I was at a friend of a friend's house one night enjoying a beer on the patio, and out walks this guy with a laser pointer. At first he was just playing around pointing it at people, but an airplane flew by and he pointed it at the airplane. I told him that "wasn't a good idea," and he laughed it off and kept doing it. I didn't know the guy, so I just told my wife it was time to go, and we left.

Idiots are everywhere, and they have no idea of the implications of their actions.
 
The just busted a few tools out here in LAS when they decided to blast a cop chopper.

So have I! It happened while descending from 11,000 to 6,000 and we were hit 6 times!!! Shoutout to Barney Fife meeting us at the gate to take the report when we got done.
 
I've been hit 3 times, twice landing at Sky Harbor, and once up near SDL. One of them I knew the cross streets and gave it to atc so I hope they got the little sob. All 3 though weren't at all incapacitating. They always ask me if there are any injuries so I'm wondering if anyone here has actually been injured.

Except for the part where we didn't get to the hotel for thirty extra minutes on our 9 hour overnight, but yes.

Gosh, what a bad week that was.
 
Helo pilots at "America's Finest" PD don't take none of it. Check this out, including FLIR clips and all:


It's a federal crime and the guy was charged with a FELONY. Good riddance!
 
I saw a jet get hit on final in front of me in PBI a few months back, probably the same punk. I was targeted once a little north of there, mentioned it to approach, they asked for my info and the local PD called me after I landed. The sad thing is a lot of these offenders are NOT children.

We had a local news chopper get hit by someone stuck in traffic on I-85. The chopper had a night vision cam and they tracked the guy up the road. The highway patrol was notified and got the guy pulled over about 3 miles up the road. Last I heard, he was in custody of the feds.
