I like the mob mentality going on here.... Keep the pressure on her guys.... If she buys it, we can ALL drive it at NJC next year. Hell, we will need something fast to keep away from the hotel police.... :eek2:

You just secure the car and Ill get us out on that speedway next NJC. ;)

Didn't even have a full time job and rolled a 308. Now, you're a major airline captain, you can at least get a Corvette.

Did @Seggy mention he was an international airline captain in his previous life? :)

Driving a bad ass 2014 Vette on a NASCAR speedway is enough of a prize, unless you'd maybe prefer a fruit basket? ;)

…and Fresca. You know, they all like Fresca. And Diet Tab.

Here's a question for you @CaptBill ... when I was in the COA 738 sim a few years back, they had it set up with the four instruments on display on the PFD, and they didn't use the screen between the FMS screens. Did the old COA guys have to switch to the display set up you guys have now, or is it optional?

Also, let me know next time you're in TPA - would love a cockpit tour if you have a free moment on a turn and have the time (I have SIDA access).

Continental has not typically used the lower center screen in the past. You could move a switch or two and switch the upper display to the lower display but why? Since we had 737-500s up until recently, our displays showed a more tradition six-pack arrangement which allowed crews to operate all 737 models. Once the -500s were gone, our displays changed to the newer NG format. We now use the lower center screen to display some engine indications but still have the option to switch information from screen to screen if needed.

I'll put you on my "next time I'm in TPA" list. I would love to show you around the plane.

It's a shame I never got to fly with @Seggy at 9E. Hell, we went to the same high school and never crossed paths. I'm sure I almost clipped him a few times in the school parking lot with my car. How could you not miss him. Haha. Messing with ya Mark.

It was a most enjoyable four day trip and look forward to flying with@CaptBill again sooner rather than later. Bill is a great mentor and sets the example of how a professional should act. He does the little things such as making sure jumpseaters get on, thanks the ramp crew for a good push, gives the Flight Attendants good briefings, involves the First Officer, etc., that separates good Captains from excellent Captains. Thanks for everything Bill!

Also, as a side note, @Toria is quite lucky to have Bill as hers. I think she needs to buy him any toy he wants as a gesture of her appreciation towards him :).

Nice to hear. Exactly as I would have expected from such a great person!

I told her this very thing Doug and she said: Who? I then said: "Look, this isn't going to make my point if you don't know who Charlie's (really Higgins) Angels are." Magnum P.I. ... Tom Selleck...Pamela Anderson... Ferrari... Hello, are you following me here? I'm not sure if Charley's Angels was in the show but I was just guy thinking here.... or Pamela Anderson for that matter....

She then says in her cutest little accent "I'm sorry darling, you're not making any sense. Oh, and by
the way, I would love a big new Staub Cookpot with a gleaming nickel-plated brass pig (which are one of her favourite culinary creatures) caricature knob on the top. Round or oval, I'll leave that to you ya big sexy airline capitaine." Then she whispered some soft spoken French words in the phone that probably meant "Can you walk the dog or pick up some expensive wine when you can" ...

What the Hell? I guess I'm going to find the Williams Sonoma place NOT in a Corvette....:fury:

Yes, I was made aware of that.
