Your career progression!

In my current careers class, we have some very interesting assignments that involve talking to experienced pilots in all fields of aviation. I thought it would be a great idea to see some career progression examples in a chronological format. I was going to post this in career specific, but since I am hoping to hear from all the corners of the industry I figured this would be the best location. This will benefit student pilots and aspiring pilots by seeing all the different ways of progressing through a career as a professional pilot.

Very informative, thank you for that. I was not looking for that much detail in the listings. Just bullet points of certain career steps and the length of time at each point along the way from first professional pilot job to current.

Certificates -> banner towing -> freight -> more freight -> unemployed.

Certificates - CFI - 135 freight - commuter - LCC - commuter - legacy - commuter - regional - corporate - major

Certificates - CFI - Survey - Part 135 FO (company bankrupt) - Regional FO - Part 91/135 CA - Trying like hell to get on with a Major

Certificates>procrastination>CFI>regional>stupidity>CFI>135 Charter>unpleasantness>regional.
Also was an airplane cleaner for a legacy carrier and an F/A for a regional.

Initial certificates --> CFI --> Freight company (or not, according to @mikecweb and @Stone Cold :) ) --> Regional in 2007 --> Furloughed in 2008 --> Grad school in 2009 --> Back to the regional in early 2011 --> Finish grad school --> Still at the original regional six years later, still in the right seat.

When I was hired they were talking about how we'd all upgrade after 18 months. Too bad I got furloughed after 14.

Military Helo --> Civilian FW certs --> Part 135 Freight --> Out of Aviation --> Military Helo
