Comp Air wanted to fly their prototype kit built jet from Florida to an airshow in Germany. They made it to Bowling Green, Kentucky before an engine failure forced them to land, where it was left to rot. The plane has not moved in years, and probably never will, which is probably a good thing, this thing is UGLY, no ice capability, and the workmanship is…interesting.

Awful looking. The paint appears in good condition for sitting for years.

I really don't understand people's willingness to pay a bunch of money to have photo related stuff made for them when they could buy a pretty solid photo printer and do it themselves for way cheaper.

That picture doesn't even do the shoddy craftsmanship any justice! I thought it was some crappy mock-up. Couldn't believe the thing was in the sky at some point.
