For those of you that routinely use CPDLC, are you getting an automatic handoff to the London UIR after completing a West-to-East crossing? In other words, is London taking the CDA/NDA handoff from Shanwick?

No they're not for us. Once we coast in, it's vhf only whether we're landing in England or continuing on.

50% of the time it seems. I haven't seen London do much else than a new frequency assignment.

Maastricht is using the hell out of it. Courses, altitude assignments, frequencies (of course), clearance changes, etc.

Given the relative small size of airspace I wonder if they're using different tech there.

For us it's far too slow to be effective at actual control, if you're not busy sure, but if it's anything traffic related, no way
