Falling out of grace month with no FAA

Inverted

mmmmmm wine
I have my .293 with the OAK FSDO this week and from what I understand they are shut down. Is there anything I, or my company can do to keep me flying if I somehow don't get this thing knocked out by the end of October?

No company check airman? Otherwise, sounds like "paid time off" for you.

A related question: if a check ride (either .293 or .299) is not conducted in the late grace month, perhaps due to a scheduling snafu, but in fact in the month after the late grace month, was the pilot legal to operate during the late grace month?

I wrote a letter to our POI requesting Check Airman status since the FAA was so unreliable getting our rides done. Gave a list of 6 reasons why we need it. It got approved just in time!
