Surprise message in my JC inbox today...

About a week ago I posted my gut-feelings about a "tuition assistance" program (that I know absolutely nothing about) a JC member had brought up as a topic. Here: http://forums.jetcareers.com/threads/javelin-air-services-llc.152290/#post-2158767

Well, I had an amusing message waiting for me in my JC inbox today, from a "student" of that program who didn't appreciate my previous post (see below). Surely I wasn't the only one. This "student" has zero posts on JC, and opened the JC account the day they sent me the "informative" message. Fun fun!

"Hello,

I'm currently a student with the Javelin program. I have been doing my flight training for the last 6 months. I don't appreciate your negativity you put on the forums. My flight training would not be a affordable if it wasn't for Javelin. They have made it possible for me to advance with my dreams. Get a life buddy and stop posting negative information all over the forums your going to ruin the opportunity for other students. The sad thing is there are so many negative people out there in this world and not enough positive. There are good people in the aviation industry!"

3rd grade grammar doesn't seem to be be a prerequisite for the "Javelin" program. One wonders what else isn't required. For my part, I'd like for my co-pilots to at least be able to, you know, make their mark on the paperwork.

In the span of two sentences, I was told to get a life, then had it pointed out that there are too many negative people in the world.

"Say waahhh?"

Does crazy Amy own this place?

Your flight school taking the crazy Amy approach to constructive criticism. #NOTWINNING

I got one similar.

But he threatened legal action and I told him "Great, now I'll just get back to Candy Crush".

I love it when people threaten me, holy cow, if venues had any liability, there'd be no Yelp.

Ten bucks says it's either the owner of the school or someone the owner paid to "improve their reputation on online search engines."

It usually is.

Additionally, one of those people that seems to believe that the mere mention on lawyer ON THE INTERNET OF ALL PLACES is enough to send you scattering for the hills.

Obviously new to the internet rodeo and hasn't reviewed the basic legal precedent like I've had to only a ZILLION TIMES over the last 15 years of running a website.

Aye yi yi. Time for a beer.
