Over on flightinfo they were saying that he was in the SWA pool but when the show came out, they saw he was an ass, and dropped him out of the pool. Also they were saying he will pay $1000+ bucks cash if someone picks up his trips for him.

I had a 4 day trip scheduled with him when I was on the 200. He paid the Captain I flew with $500 to pick up the trip.

Nope, apparently he loses money by flying trips instead of doing whatever he's doing in LA.
Plus he also got a sizable payout from Dancing with the Stars

He didn't seem too bitter about SWA, just more kind of "it is what it is."
Some of the girls were starry eyed that he was their pilot, but not as much as he was.
We had a turn in CMH and the f/a came up and (without addressing him) said "some girls want to have their picture taken with you." He didn't find it very amusing when I said "well....ok, but make it quick" and started to climb out of my seat.

He was a captain on the -200 before we went on the show. I know, doesn't really fit the attack mob mentality related to dribbling some "...the Jake guy on that horrible show was only making $20k a year flying planes around cause he was only an FO" rhetoric.
Nevertheless, I have not personally flown with him. My limited interactions with him have been about as average as any interaction with a fellow co-worker can be. No doubt I had my own impression from what I had heard around, but otherwise he was just another one of us. He is quite busy outside of the aviation sector, which unfortunately can have some negative consequences when it comes to scheduling and handling any potential phone calls from the CPO.
