Heck, yeah. Absolutely... But this guy was landing on sandbars which is way cool and lots of fun. And you can eliminate sky diving from your list, too. Skydiving kicks burro.I suppose all of the people posting videos of drag racing, speed boating, doing water ski tricks, bungee jumping, and certainly sky diving should just knock that unsafe, crazy crap off right now.
Not to inflame an already incendiary discussion, but if you've ever lived in/flown in Alaska you will be aware that most of the crap you see on TV regarding Alaska is overhyped, sensationalist bushwah. "All the babies in Barrow are going to die because there is water in the fuel and superbushpilotbob might not make it." Uh, yeah, there's always water in the fuel in Barrow. TV is TV. Drama is drama. It's designed to grab your ego and hold your attention long enough to get you to buy another box of sugary cereal or bar of deodorant. There is as much relation to reality in an alaska bush pilot show as there is in your average cop or military show. Think of how wrong the local reporter gets it in the newspaper after a plane crash (did you ever wonder why darned near every plane that crashes is a Cessna?). Then multiply by 10x.Seggy....as for Alaska flying which the discussion evolved to fairly quickly......have you ever watched the tv shows such as Mountain Men, Flying Wild Alaska, Alaska State Troopers, Ice Pilots, Wild West Guns Alaska, Alaska's Toughest Pilots, Buying Alaska, Alaska Wing Men, Tougher in Alaska?? These are shows which air and many have aired around the world and many in several seasons. They have details and examples of the type of flying done in Alaska, the Yukon and in Northern Canada.
Now here you have entire tv shows showing the type of flying in all kinds of wx, conditions, terrain, winds, hell you name it, throughout Alaska, the Yukon and Northern Canada and you are upset over one You Tube video which demonstrates the same thing seen on many of these shows?
I realize all of that. Thanks for pointing out the obvious. I watched them for the flying parts, the planes, the scenery, the wx and seasons, the wildlife, the topography, the villages, and what the pilots themselves had to say, not the narrators or any contrived stories/drama.Not to inflame an already incendiary discussion, but if you've ever lived in/flown in Alaska you will be aware that most of the crap you see on TV regarding Alaska is overhyped, sensationalist bushwah. Please don't believe that what you are fed on TV bears any resemblance to day-to-day reality.
I wanna go...I guess I'm dangerous....

Frankly, the idea that someone having a [expletive] blast in an airplane and posting videos of it is getting someone else's panties in a wad is amusing to me. There are literally millions of videos of people demonstrating skills in feats that one could describe as dangerous. What makes this any different?
@SeggyBecause Seggy is an IHOP safety expert.
He needs to get in a Cub. Learn some slips to wheel landings and not be afraid to take the slip in to more pronounced ground effect. Which is essentially what the guy in the video is doing, but to a higher degree of accuracy.
What cub would fit both of you?
180 horse super cub. It's a two ton cub! What cub would fit both of you?
Let us look at this video then!
