New 787-9 Leaves Paint Hangar

Can't wait to hear the first 384 people call it a "Seven Eighty Seven Nine Hundred"

Oh that burns me when other pilots call it that... and the 747-Eighthundred

I'm already tired of the "it's on fire" jokes. At least the IFR cancellation/flaps in flare/whatever jokes on here have for the most part gone the way of the 250TT F/O.

Ummm... isn't the 9 short for 900? And the 8 also short for 800?

SJSers were callings their CRJ 900s "the Nine," which is an afront to all who have ever flown the Douglas product. Now they'll use "6-5 Dash 9" to keep up with the times.

Newbie controller passing traffic..

"Traffic is a Boeing seven eight nine... Hey haha I can count!"

"LET GO OF THE TRANSMIT BUTTON!"
